VatikaIt started with one Sunday.
Vatika means garden. The name is not an accident — the platform grew the way the institutions on it do.
A Sanskar Vatika in Mysuru needed a better way to run its weekly classes — mark who came, recognise the children who tried, handle admissions, and let parents know what happened today without one volunteer becoming a full-time group administrator.
We built it for them. Then a Jain Paathshaala wanted it, and a Navyuvak Mandal after that, and each one needed something the last had not: terms, then fee heads, then report cards, then a conduct record. What began as one community’s software became a platform any institution can make unmistakably its own.
Today it runs 3 institutions, each on its own domain, with its own mark and its own colours — and none of them look like us.

A community deserves the same software a company gets
A pathshala of forty children should not be running on a spreadsheet because good software was priced for somebody else.
The institution's words, not ours
Your statuses, your grades, your fee heads, your vocabulary. Software that makes you rename what you do has the relationship backwards.
Separation is not a promise, it is a mechanism
Institutions share infrastructure and share nothing else, because the database refuses — not because our code remembered to filter.

The person marking a register has ninety seconds between periods and one hand free. That is the bar, not a desktop nobody is sitting at.
